There’s little doubt that Covid-19 has super-charged the adoption of digital services over the last 18 months.
Our research, which monitored digital acceleration in the UK and US throughout the pandemic, found a huge 3.7m UK customers take to online banking for the very first time (since March 2020). We saw 7.8% attempt to keep up their physique through online fitness classes from their living rooms, while 4.1m sunk into the couch, streaming movies and TV to pass the time. The percentage of those watching Tiger King is yet to be seen.
